About the Role

We're seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Docketing Coordinator to join a highly respected firm's Risk Management and Practice Support team. This is an excellent opportunity for candidates with docketing or calendaring experience-including junior professionals looking to expand their skills in a fast-paced legal environment.

In this role, you'll play a vital part in ensuring accurate calendaring of litigation deadlines and supporting compliance with court rules. You'll collaborate with attorneys, paralegals, and administrative teams, serving as a trusted resource across the firm.

Location: Los Angeles, CA (Hybrid - 2+ days onsite)


What You'll Do

  • Maintain and update the firm's docketing and calendaring system with precision
  • Calculate key litigation deadlines based on court rules, filings, and correspondence
  • Ensure compliance with firm-wide docketing policies and procedures
  • Serve as a resource for attorneys and staff on court rules, deadlines, and docket processes
  • Generate and distribute reports related to case deadlines and schedules
  • Partner with legal teams and administrative departments to support all docketing functions
  • Provide first-level support for docketing software and systems
  • Identify and proactively escalate potential risks or discrepancies in calendaring

What You Bring

  • Prior experience in docketing, calendaring, or litigation support (law firm or legal environment preferred; junior candidates encouraged)
  • Understanding of state and federal court rules and procedures (or strong willingness to learn)
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to manage high-volume, time-sensitive information
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Outlook, Excel, Word)
  • Experience with docketing or practice management systems is a plus (e.g., Compulaw, CMS)
  • Highly organized, dependable, and proactive in problem-solving
